Lake Lewisville Fishing Report – Spring 2020

Lake Lewisville Fishing Report – Spring 2020

Lake Lewisville has moved into a typical early spring pattern.  Sand Bass bite has been excellent in the creek channels.  Sand Bass are getting ready to spawn and are moving into there spawning grounds.  Hybrid Striped Bass can be found on the spawning grounds with the Sand Bass.  Going shallow into the creek channels this time of year can produce lots of fish.  Spring is also a good time of year for Blue Catfish on Lake Lewisville.  If your looking for eater fish this is a great time to get those eater sized blues and channel cats.  Crappie will go shallow and spawn soon.  Prespawn and Postspawn on Lake Lewisville are a great time to go after keeper sized crappie.

Lake Lewisville Large Mouth Bass Fishing Report

Large Mouth Bass are on beds preparing for spawn.  Try fishing jerk baits or worms in shallow water with out weights.

I am currently fishing Lake Lewisville.  Sand Bass are schooling, and limits are easy right now.  If your looking to get out of the house and spend some time on the lake let me know. Don’t miss out on the spring bite and a chance to fill your freezer with Sand Bass.  Lake Lewisville is a little high but that won’t slow this bite down and I have good access to the lake.
