GUIDED FISHING TRIP FAQ
Guided fishing trips are a fun affordable activity that a lot of people have never tried. A guided trip consist of a fishing guide boating you out to different fishing holes on the lake. Your fishing guide will use a depth finder to locate the fish. The guide will also provide the proper bait and lures for the fish your targeting. Most guides provide all the equipment, lures and bait you need for the fishing trip. If you like to go fishing a guided trip is a must.
Guided Lake Lewisville fishing trips are a great activity for team building, parental bonding or if you just want to put some fresh fish in your freezer. An experienced guide makes all the difference in a great guided fishing trip. A good guide will put you on the fish and provide good steady fishing action for you and your group. On most guided fishing trips you will bring home enough fresh fish to pay for the trip. The fish you take home will be of a much higher quality than what you get at the grocery store, having been caught, processed and cooked or frozen all on the same day. Grocery store fish sits out in the display for days, you will definitely be able to taste the difference.
DO I NEED TO PAY A DEPOSIT?
For new customers I will require a 100 dollar deposit. Once I have been fishing with you and gain trust that you will show up, I may wave the deposit. Preparing a guided fishing trip is a lot of work. I have to catch bait the day before, prepare the equipment, get up early, and haul the boat. When someone doesn’t show up for a fishing trip I not only lose my investment of time, I also loose a good day of fishing, that could have made another customer very happy. Once you have paid your deposit your guided fishing trip is guaranteed. If you do not show up for the trip you will lose your deposit. If your trip is rescheduled due to inclement weather or other extenuating circumstances the value of the deposit can be applied to your rescheduled fishing trip. It is important if you need to reschedule for a different date to let me know as quickly as possible. Please call to make arrangements to pay your deposit.
WHAT DO I FISH FOR ON LAKE LEWISVILLE GUIDED FISHING TRIPS?
*Multi Species Fishing Guide
I provide guided Lake Lewisville fishing trips for Hybrid Striped Bass, White Bass, Black Bass, Blue Catfish and Crappie. I am the only fishing guide on Lake Lewisville that offers guide services for multiple fish species. Most guides only fish for one species of fish. I can provide guide services that most other fishing guides cannot and would not. If you love fishing, and live in the DFW area a guided lake lewisville fishing trip with me is a must.
WHAT DAY TO FISH ON?
Week days are less busy on the lake and generally make for a more relaxing enjoyable fishing trip. I always encourage people to take their trip on a weekday if possible, if you can’t that’s fine, we will plan a weekend that works for you. Week day fishing makes for less boat traffic and jet skies and less competition with other anglers.
Whether you are afraid to take your fish off the hook, or don’t want to fuss with boat ownership, I take care of everything. From the beginning to the end of your guided fishing trip my primary focus is to make sure you have the best experience possible.
WHAT TO BRING ON YOUR FISHING TRIP?
Below are a few items that will make your guided fishing trip more comfortable and productive.
An Ice chest(with ice) to take your fish home in.
Sun block, sun glasses, and a hat.
For winter and fall fishing trips dress really warm.
If rain or mist is in the forecast make sure and bring rain gear.
Water and/or beverages of your choice.
WHAT IF THERE IS BAD WEATHER?
As long as there is not lighting or high wind, we can usually go fishing. Some of the best days I have had on the lake fishing are cloudy over cast, and calm misty days. Don’t let a little mist or light rain discourage you from going on your trip. Just make sure to dress appropriate for the weather conditions on that day. Even if it is not that cold I suggest dressing warm during fall and winter months. The air over the lake in morning when we are headed out, can be pretty cold. If there is severe weather or a lighting event over the lake, it might be necessary to reschedule your trip for another day.
