| 02/25/2010 | Water Temp is around 42 degrees. Been catching the big cat fish. Thought we had the lake record last week, 57 1/4 pounds, 51 inches long. Lake record is 63 pounds. Crappie has been off because of muddy water. Caught some sand bass one day last week. |
| 01/20/2010 | Happy New Year! Lake temperature is at an all time low of 39 degrees, but I'm still catching fish, crappie bite is excellent, cat fish bite is very good, last trip had 23 fish weighing a total of 340lbs. What a stringer! Black bass bite should be picking up by the end of next month. |

| 09/17/2009 | It has been raining on me the last 5 days straight, the lake is rising quickly. Water temp is 77 degrees. Catching lots of sand bass, hybrid bite is excellent,. catching limits daily. Crappie bite has been excellent the last week, catching lots of keepers finally! Cat fishing is also good. |
| 08/05/2009 | Top water bite is still on. Catching limits everyday! Catching some hybrids on the humps up to 9lbs. Catching small catfish 2-4 lbs. Catching lots of crappies just short of keepers. |
| 07/15/2009 | The top water bite has begun! Catching lots of fish on top waters in acres of schooling fish. Also catching good size sand bass on humps. Catching limits everyday. Catching some hybrids with the sand bass up to 8lbs. Catfish bite has slowed down a little bit but still catching some. Black bass bite is also good up to 5lbs. Crappie bite is slow. Catching average of 100 - 150 sand bass in a half a day. |
| 06/01/2009 | Water temperature 75 degrees. Catching limits of sand bass along with some hybrids as well. Cat fishing is good. Catching lots of crappie but all to small to keep. Watch out, next year crappies should all be keepers. Black bass fishing has also been good up to 8lbs. |
| 04/29/2009 | Hybrid bite has been unbelievable! Catching lots of huge hybrids approaching and passing the lake record. Catching limits of hybrids and sand bass everyday. Caught so many fish I had to take a break to rest my arms they hurt so bad. |

| 02/16/2009 | Water temp 53 - 56 degrees. Blue cat bite is still on!! The sand bass and hybrid bite is also great! Caught 25-30 hybrids between 5-8 lbs. Also catching limits of sand bass every day. |

| 12/16/2008 | Blue Cat bite is awesome. Jay Ratliff caught his biggest fish ever.....55lb blue cat. As soon as he landed the fish he got a phone call saying he had been invited to the Pro Bowl. What an Awesome Day!!! |
| 12/02/2008 | Water temperature is now 52 degrees. Still catching limits of Sand Bass mixed with some hybrids. Trips this week, blue catfish bite is excellent with fish up to 60 lbs, lots of 20 to 35 lb fish. Catfish bite is on big time. Black bass trip today, caught 9 fish up to 3 1/2 lbs, slow, but still catching them. Crappie bite is still slow. It's been very windy the past 3 days but sill catching lots of fish. |
| 11/23/2008 | Water temperature 58 degrees. Catching limits of Sand bass and hybrid bite is getting real good. Averaging 10 hybrids an evening up to 10lbs. Blue cat bite is on, catching fish up to 40lbs. The blue cat bite just gets better the colder it gets. Catching lots of crappie but size is small. Black bass good up to 7lbs until water temp gets below 55 degrees. I fish year round and catch sand bass, hybrids and blue cats all winter. |
| 10/17/2008 | Sorry I haven't updated my report lately, my computer has been out of service. Anyway, fishing is great, still catching limits of sand bass everyday along with some hybrids. The catfish bite is picking up. I fish year round and I put you on fish any time. |

| 06/07/2008 | Somebody please stop the wind. Even with the wind, I have been running trips everyday. I have been catching limits of sand bass every day with an occasional big hybrid. Wind has been so bad that I can't even fish 3/4 of the lake. Cat fishing is good, up to 14 lbs. Black bass fishing also good up to 6.5 pounds. |

| 04/13/2008 | Water temp has been around 63 - 72 degrees. The sand bass fishing is excellent now, catching limits every day. Catching some hybrids up to 12 lbs. Black bass fishing is very good up to 6.5 - 7 lbs. Crappie fishing is still slow. |
| 02/29/2008 | Water temp has been around 54 - 56 degrees. Went out this morning to go cat fishing, no wind. We went hybrid and sand bass fishing instead. Caught 30 - 40 hybrids between 4-8 lbs. Giant sand bass with them. Black bass getting ready to spawn. Overall, fishing has been pretty good. Still catching blue catfish up to 35.5 lbs when wind cooperates. Spring fishing has begun!!!!! |
| 01/13/2008 | Water temp has been around 48-49 degrees.. Blue catfish bite has been out of this world. Catching lots of fish between 17 - 21 pounds, caught 4 fish over 34 pounds with a 42 pounder and a 53 pounder. Sand bass and hybrid bite a bit slow. Crappie bite is fair. |
| 12/19/2007 | Water temp 53 degrees. Hybrid bite very good, up to 10lbs! Also lots of sand bass action. Fish suspended in deep water, catching them on sassy shads. Today caught over 30 hybrids and limit of sand bass. Crappie bite has slowed down again? Cat fishing good. |
| 12/01/2007 | Water temp 56 - 58 degrees. Sand bass and hybrid bite is large. Catching limits of sand bass in 30 minutes mixed with hybrids up to 8lbs. Catching them on sides of humps in 24 - 32 feet of water on slabs. Crappie bite is coming on strong. Some days catching limits. Black bass bite is slow but the fish I'm catching are good ones. Cat fishing good drifting for blues up to 35lbs. |
| 10/24/2007 | Fished yesterday and today with yearly customers Lanie and Charlie from Denver. Wow! Didn't think winter was coming but I guess it is. I was greeted with 30 - 40 mph winds from the north. Caught limits of sand bass both days. Sand bass fishing is excellent. Caught 3-4 keeper hybrids per half day, caught an additional 30 undersized hybrids in the last two days. Water temperature has dropped to 70 degrees. The feed is on!!! Fish eating heavily for winter. Fishing will continue to improve in the next few weeks. |
| 10/20/2007 | I have been fishing in Mexico at Lake Baccarac last week, returning on the 18th. Imagine that, a full time fishing guide who goes fishing on his vacation. What a trip, our group of 6 caught 23 bass over 10lbs. If you want more information, give me a call. Back at Lake Lewisville the water temperature has dropped to 75 degrees. The fishing has been great! Have been catching all of the sand bass you want. The hybrid bite has improved, catching them up to 9lbs. Lots of surface action on Saturday along with wind. Crappie fishing is a bit slow. Blue cat fishing very good. With today's cold front the black bass fishing should be awesome. |
| 09/29/2007 | Water temperature 85.1 degrees. I have been fishing everyday lately, gates still open and water dropping everyday. Sand bass fishing is excellent on humps next to deep water. Catching limits of sand bass everyday. Hybrid bite is a little slow right now, catching 5-6 per half day up to 8lbs. Black bass fishing is good on spinner baits and worms up to 4 1/2 lbs. Cat fishing has been good for blues up to 10lbs. Crappie fishing is still slow but catching a few. If you want to catch a lot of fish up to 150 fish in a half of a day, sand bass is hard to beat. |
| 08/05/2007 | I have been fishing daily all year, 7 days a week. The lake level has been dropping rapidly from 12 feet above normal, but lake is still about 8 feet high. One gate of the dam is open and only one ramp on the lake is open. Sand bass excellent, catching limits everyday. Lots of top water action, lots of fish on slabs. Hybrid bite is the best I've seen all year, catching them up to 12 lbs. Catfish good up to 15 lbs. Black Bass fishing is so-so since lake is dropping rapidly, catching some on spinner baits and Texas rig worms. When the lake quits dropping black bass fishing will get as good as we've ever seen. I have been seeing more 2-3 inch new hatch in shallows than I've ever seen. Haven't been crappie fishing in the last two weeks. |
